Maybe use one of those No University Performance Decay mods, so your sim can actually party it up sometimes. I found that's the only way my sim could have any fun at University. It's still not that great though, lol!

I like Sims 2 University because I can use TwoJeff's college Adjuster to shorten the semesters. Sims 3 University Life bored me no end and I had so many problems with it I ended up uninstalling it.

When something happens (marriage, move out, money going in or out) there is a pop up in the corner that says "great wooly llamas Mari Lyn Notroe, something has happened that has affected your descendants" or something like that. But you get one for every single person in the house.
