  1. That does sound like a great idea modifying the Regions to suit each world like that. But there is one thing I am wondering about. If the Region (as you call it) is modified for Granite Falls (I think that's the world you're talking about) to become a permanent winter world, won't the secret Hermit area also be affected? I read there are special plants and bugs there that only appear during certain seasons. I may have read the information wrong on Carl's site. Just correct me if I'm wrong.

    Oasis Springs, Jungle Adventure world (I kept thinking of it as El Salvador :hm:) and Strangerville gave me a distinct impression they were supposed to be hot year 'round. Why didn't we get the option to customize the worlds like we did in Sims 2 and 3 was beyond me.

    Plus, I checked out Magnolia Blossom. It looked so BEAUTIFUL!! No missing objects! Whee!! :yourockthumbsup:

  2. Oh wow!! You created exactly what I had in mind for the Strangerville story! I did not really want to kill the Big Mama because I thought she looked cool. I had a feeling she wasn't as evil as the story portrayed her to be. Thank you for making the tedious tasks easier to do: Scanning the spores and interacting with the Big Mama. There are two tasks I noticed that might warrant a closer look for you if you want. The tasks investigating the computers for evidence and hacking the computers honestly took too long. I did the Strangerville story without any mod installed to see what I liked or disliked about the pack. Those two tedious tasks are the ones I did not like beside scanning the spores.

    The lab itself is daunting. Huge and takes up too much time to travel all the way down to see the sweet, cuddly Big Mama. Will we also have a new lab to replace the Maxis-made lab in the future? Yours looked much much better!!

  3. I haven't patched either. There is still a lot to explore and play in the game. But there are still broken mods out there that people still use to this day hoping they will "work".

    Yes, I read the same thing about an option in the Game Settings to opt out of the story once the new pack is released, but I was hoping the option would be "per game save" rather than across all of the game saves of different families I play.

  4. I'm sorry that I'm late to the scene, but I have to agree with you about the issue with napping and sleeping. While I don't mind the Sims napping now and then, the only issue is that they keep choosing the sofa rather than their own beds to nap while other Sims are awake and about probably wanting to use the sofa to watch TV from. I haven't seen a mod out there that fixes the napping options to make Sims choose their claimed beds first to nap, and if their energy is nearly depleted, then should sleep instead. A bit of logic in there somewhere to make sense for Sims to choose whether to nap or to sleep based on how depleted their energy is.

    I had normal Sims homing in on the coffins ALL THE TIME (Sims 2 anyone?) to either sleep or nap, but my Vampires hardly touched them. Even with the weakness that forces them to sleep in coffins only. There is no logic in the Vampires totally eschewing the coffins. They're Vampires for heaven stakes!

    LittleMsSam has an interesting mod to power nap so Sims can nap for at least an hour and be up refreshed, ready to go for the rest of their day. I wonder if it is possible to incorporate something into this mod?

  5. This looks fantastic! But the description mentioned minor tweaks to the Maxis lot. What has been tweaked because visually, the bar looked identical to the Maxis Jungle Bar.

    A great job. Like Kimi said, I have no idea where you found time to do this either. :)

  6. I didn't think to check TM's Patreon site. I just went there. Unfortunately, all of his mods looked like they haven't been updated. His mods on MTS were also not updated. Very few of those mods he had were updated to November 2018 when Get Famous came out. I don't plan to pay $2 or $5 USD just to see if he is updating anything, nor would I pay for other creators either on Patreon. I was burned last year when I paid around $5-8 USD to get the latest updates for a mod until the creator disappeared completely. I will settle for public releases and play until they come along.

    All right. I was just wondering if there was a certain trait or criteria for Vampires to appear outside Forgotten Hollow. Your feedback does help me understand the full extent of the mods from here. I appreciate it.

    I DID have a Vampire die on me as soon as the lot was loaded for the first time when I first got the pack. So yes, I didn't want them to show up elsewhere while it's day outside.

    I put the No Fake Vampires mod back into the Mods folder. That mod seemed to still work because I have not seen any fake Vampires roaming the streets lately. Unless this was already incorporated into one of your Vampire-related mod(s).

  7. Hello @coolspear  I was tracking down two issues that were bothering me since the "Get Famous" pack was released.  Hopefully you will help me track down the specific issues because I kept thinking something isn't right adding traits to mostly teenagers, young adults and on up.

    Before I go into details about the issues, I have mods installed to suit my playstyle in every game save I have for different families and setups.

    I installed  MCCC, WickedWhims, the debug cheat to add&remove traits on the Sims, all of the reward store traits for every pack released, the shopping list (100), get to know cooldown (15) and more personality traits  for toddlers (2), children (5), teens (10) and Young Adult&up (20).

    The first issue has to do with adding traits to the Sim with a lot of points to buy the traits from the store. If I add more traits to the young adult/adult Sim beyond the first three traits given in the CAS using the reward store, an error popped up after about the fifth or sixth trait given to that Sim. I can't exactly pin down which types of traits are giving me grief when I add more traits to the Sim through the reward store. It is very difficult to pin down the error(s) because the error(s) in the exceptions log were pointing to something about life skills if I add more traits to the adult Sims. I haven't tried this with the toddlers, children and teens yet. I've double-checked all of the other mods for anything that affects either traits or life skills.

    Your description stated that there are life skill traits included. I don't know if that is the case or if something else is causing issues behind the scene when I play my families.

    The other issue is just a question. Your description mentioned adding the trait from Get Famous. Which trait is that specifically from Get Famous? The mod has all of the traits for every  pack released except that I did not see something for Get Famous in the package.

    Hopefully you can help me pin down the exact cause of the error(s) mentioned above because I get the feeling something was changed. Looking forward to hearing your opinion on the first issue.

  8. What kind of criteria would vampires have to have to visit other worlds outside Forgotten Hollow? I know that the "Antiseptic" trait is used to prevent Sims from appearing in the worlds outside this vampire hamlet. I'd like to have Vampires visit at night and maybe break into houses once in awhile, but with the new changes to the mods, I am not sure if I need to do something extra to have them show up at my playable Sim's house and break in or visit.

    Which mod was the one that's been removed? I took out "cool1_visitors_Vampires_NoMoreFakeHomelessUnknownVamps" from the Mods folder.

    I might stick with twistedmexican's Underworlds mod because his mod includes the career lots where my Vampires might hold jobs at the hospital, lab and police station. I don't know if the new mod covers those career lots or not.

  9. You can create a new save and label it with something you know you retained those AllInOne NPCs you edited in CAS to your liking. I did this when I saw how handsome some of the male baristas were, and I wanted to keep them. And the women too.

    What I did was clean out all of the worlds in one game save and labeled it as "Clean and Empty Save", and then I cleaned out all but the celebrities in Del Sol in another save and labeled it "Clean With Del Sol Sims". I edited the Vatore and Stradiwhateverhisnameis families to fix their traits and appearances. Then I fixed their Vampire powers because they were breaking into houses without the appropriate Vampire power in the past. Salva and her brother looked pretty wicked in both game saves. :evilone:

    I also created a placeholder Sim so that I can save the worlds in two different versions as described above and used the placeholder to go to the Hook, Line and Sinker cafe to generate the 16 baristas. THEN I saved both versions for my own future use. The baristas were edited and renamed to my liking so I don't have to regenerate every time I create a new game save. I just reuse either version of the two game saves I made and rename the game saves for my different families and playstyles.

    You don't really need to save them to the library. Game saves are where the fun begin. :cheese:

  10. I still have that other mod installed. But I have not seen or heard Maxis addressing that issue. So logically, I left it in there until  they come in on rainbow unicorns farting sparkly glitter to announce the Vampire's energy bar being fixed.

    They haven't addressed the other issue with the Vampires not gaining further points beyond Grandmaster. So let's just say they will need more than just unicorns to ride in and say hey we fixed all of the bugs you guys were complaining about!

  11. I've been wondering for a long time why my Sims kept getting up at 3AM? Only to get tired quickly at 7AM when their energy bars are 3/4 full by the time the kids go to school.

    How does this mod affect Vampires whose Energy needs differ in the sense that they only require Dark Meditation to restore their energy?

    Thank you for those beds and this mod! They should work perfectly together!
