inZOI Another Life Simulation Game in Early Development

Love your long posts, too, Klinn!!! Sooo, you can make a household with only teens, but they can't make out or do any romance? I don't mind having males taller than females, but I don't like it that females simply can't be taller at all. I think InZoi focuses a lot on the teenage market and maybe that is why the rabbit hole high school is much better than the professor/taxi sitting rabbit hole, hehehe. Checking that out, BrianZ! -

I agree with you, @Klinn, especially if there is such a life stage as adolescent / pre teen. That is the age for exploration, so to speak, and hormones kicking in and giving people those 'crushes', right? And I also agree that as the official position of the game developers, they could make it so that adolescents could only develop those romantic crushes, emotions with other adolescents, but could not act upon them and definitely, they should not have sex within their age group or any other group. But teens should at least be able to go on dates, and kiss, for example. Maybe they could make it (very ambitiously) so that, as teens get closer to their aging up, they can make out in their dates with other teens? As it stands in this Early Access stage, it is extremely unrealistic for a game that has such realistic visual style. -
Great information, thank you all!

That's not the best choice, I'd say. And after all, most of the Zois from the promotionals look like teenagers anyways! -

Oooh! Thank you for your scientific endeavors, @Klinn!!!! I must admit that, on most posters, a semi nude is much more enticing and stylish that a full all balls out picture!!!! Yummy Male Creature (tm) is NOT like most posters, though. -

I soooo love that poster!!!!! I'd not judge either! The lights with you initials were fantastic!!!! You're soo into the building mod already!!! I tried it yesterday for a bit, but I still haven't found a way to comfortably move around. It's just my being used to TS4, I guess. Will need more time in the Build studio and probably more tutorials to get the hang of it. I did not keep your thread open when I tried the foundations, and of course, I could not make them work. Like @Sleepycat said, rubbish adulting! I'll have to come back to watch the info about SmartZoi later. -

Exactly. I kept looking for the "help" option, but there wasn't anything useful anywhere. I did notice that, thanks! Your observations are very interesting! I noticed that I could not overlap roof sections, only some eaves (I think). I tried to set up a different fence, but could not work the feature for the life of me. As far as I could see, I was within the lot limit, but I kept getting a notification that the fence item could not be placed on top of other item, whatever that other item was. Will need to go back to try again another day. I changed the color or the front door in the basic house preset, and I managed to save the whole door as a new or personalized item, since I did not see how to save the new color as a preset. This allowed me to copy the door with the customized colors to the other doors in the house. I tried to move the house, but I did not see what that option actually did. When I tried moving the lot, the whole blueprint moved to a side in the void that is the Build Studio right now. That void makes it very difficult for me to work out how I want the house to look. The controls themselves. I usually change the WASD controls to the arrows on the right of my keyboard, next to the numeric pad, because I am left handed and control my mouse with my left hand and the keyboard with the right, right? I did not see options to change the controls. Again, more exploration is needed, but I would love to have a more robust help option within the Studio. -

Thank you for that article, @Klinn, like you said, it was worth the time. I also share some thoughts with the author, like the use of AI for the creation aspect, the localization of the game (no offense, but it looks too K-popian), and the target main generation audience for which it is created. The look of the Zois is truly amazing, though, but I also like to play stories; I'm not much for the selfie moments, hehe, even if some of my sim families have tons of pictures of life events on their walls. What worries me more is that I tried the building demo and struggled with it. Mind you, I used it only for a short while. I need to get back to try it again and actually learn the controls to have an opinion of how easy or difficult it is to use. I also did not see the curved walls among the options. I am a player who recreates stories in game and builds for those stories, so I want the game to be able to give me a comfortable way of doing that. Like they say, more to come. -

From the Twitch I watched to get the demo, I read that it will be free on Saturday. I still did the watching and linking my account and all that SHIT, in order to learn this stuff , but I could surely go without having to jump through so many hoops to get a game. -
My graphics card is the minimum required, but the rest of my system fall in the recommended, so I think I'll get it and see how it looks on my graphics card. I'll see if / when I can upgrade that later on.

I definitely do, at least for The Sims and other games these days, but I am quite ready to jump in the wagon and order InZoi a.s.a.p. -

Wow!!! It's very soon now for the launching of the Early Access game! My computer is within the Recommended values for everything except Graphics card, which is in the Minimum, since I have an Nvidia RTX 2060. I wonder how this will affect the quality. That teaser is good! -

Thank you for the info!!! I am also very much thinking of getting InZoi. My graphics card is the minimum, but my processor is the recommended one, and my PC also meets the other recommended requirements. The Demo ran well. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will run the whole thing well, too. With a brand name such as "Nvidia", I could not expect less than pristine greed from the company!! I understand the concern, though. It sounds and will probably be quite a business promoting situation. Now, from my very personal perspective, I prefer Nvidia cards than others, and have always bought Nvidia when I have been able to afford it, so it would not be a deal breaker for me. -

Thank you for reminding us of this, @Klinn!!! I also like realism within certain limits, and it is great that there are these options already included, or they will be when the game launches. -

Inzoi does have functional cars as @Klinn pointed out. However, from what I saw in people's videos of game play, driving is quite difficult. There is traffic that actually blocks your car from moving forward, and if you don't stop in the traffic, you get crashing left, right, and in the middle. The people whose videos showed this, mentioned that there were no consequences for fender benders or even for running over a pedestrian (I think Emma Nicol said her sim died like this, though?), at least no consequences for the one causing the crash or the accident. In TS3, it may have looked funny and unrealistic to go in a car and 'run over' a cyclist, or completely drive through a slower car, but those were not really incidents since the sims and cars on the road were sort of in a different dimension from the active sim we were controlling. We actually did not run anyone over like that, and there was no issue of getting stuck in traffic and having to abandon one's car. I am truly hoping for an option to have minimum traffic or no traffic at all so that I get to actually enjoy driving in InZoi .
