  1. I can attest that the obsession with cooking seems to be a game bug. And it seems to get triggered into high gear when you use mods that "push fun". I was experiencing major lags last night but unsure if this had anything to do with it. I am finally trying WW and Nisa's WP mod. Some of my lag could have come from all of that running for the first time in my save. Which is a save I've been playing for a while, just saved under a new name, so it's quite full and I'm running all the WSC mods also. It could be it's not playing nice with other mods outside of all those too. I'm sorry for not reporting sooner, I'm changing a lot of stuff with my game. Honestly, I'm not sure which version of the "Fun" I'm running at this point. And I was chasing a LE from MC for three days that turned out to something broken by Maxis; luckily there's a mod to fix it. That, on top of just getting a new pc and all that comes from setting that up, I'm just running out of time in a day. lol

I can say that this is not good with a small family if you don't have lots to do, or large families with only one computer and one chess table, then they get into a repeating loop it seems of going to the same things over and over. That seems to be the case with all mods that push fun. Sims get stuck in corners is all I'm gonna say on the subject.:batlashes:

I'll download the latest file and give it a whirl. I may even try the TS8 and see what that changes. If I notice any quirkiness, I'll let ya know.

  2. Hmm, that could explain why both of my sims have been doing that! I noticed they had started doing this and I have to basically chose get leftovers or open fridge and select the actual dish. I'm using TS16 and game speed 40. The push to cook is strong too. No sooner do I click it away than it pops back up. Luckily, I tend to micromanage so it only happens when I slack off or load into a new house and hunger is tanked on the whole household.

  3. Okay, I now have a fairly good idea that it must be a glitch in the actual game. I tried another mod and it didn’t work either. Took out all acting mods and still had “get into costume” fail to be an option. Everything else worked fine.

So, I deleted the platforms and replaced them in free build. Didn’t fix it. Deleted the wardrobe stylist in manage worlds and lowered her rep back down again to good. Didn’t work next time either.

I then placed a copy of the Studio lot down, went there and played around with the platform and changed into all the outfits available. Sent my sim home and bought her a platform at home and did the same there.

Decided to try again with WSC and put it all back.

Before leaving for work, I took a guess on which costume might be the right one, trying to get a gold performance ya know, dressed her for the role and hit join. Lot worked great. The AIO’s all showed up, platform worked great, got all tasks completed and earned my gold star.

The mod works, the game not so much. I’m thinking the problem lies in the fact that the game is broken somewhere.

    I know, Shocking!:64:

Anyway, that’s my report for now. Hopefully it’ll work next time around. I love the acting career, but this might be my last go at it until it’s fixed or a modder does Ea’s job again. Lots of bugs with this one. Great idea, poor execution.

  4. Thank you so much! Watching that bubble hang there, waiting to drop into the queue as she just sat there staring off into space was about to drive me batty. Maybe my game will run smoother now. I'm starting with TS16. I run my game speed at 40. I'll let ya know how it goes. I just got a second sim moved in and waiting on two of them would have been torture. This is quite timely, imho!:armflowers:

  5. I have experienced the same bug as @ThePsycho regarding the studio lot. Both time after having installed these files. The first time I was already in the career and had been going to gigs on the lot for a few weeks in game. Thinking I messed something up, I restarted the save and tried again. Same thing happen with getting to the studio for my first gig and everyone instantly leaving. I exited the game and went searching online for any known bugs about it. It appears to originate in having a pristine reputation. As of now, it seems only a few have experienced it and it seems most were running mods at the time. Only it didn't reverse until they lowered the rep back to neutral, even after removing their mods. I tried just lowering my sim back to good but with the mod in still didn't work. I pulled it out and it worked, kinda. There are bugs on the lot. I'm thinking that this mod may trigger what is already messed up. I really don't know. I just thought I'd report what I had found out. I just took all the mods that had to do with the acting career. Not sure which one was causing the problem. Hope this helps at all.:37:

  6. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!:sillysqueeze:

If my simself pick up her damned guitar one more f'n time, I swear she was a dead woman!!:batbeating: For the love of gawd, she has a tv, keyboard, microphone, pc, etc; and she'd pick up the guitar, play the guitar and set the thing down. She did that 7 times in a row the other night. I haven't loaded that save since.

You, kind sir, have saved her and me. Imagine having to off your own self in game, it doesn't bear contemplation. :64:

I'll keep an eye on how it affects NPCs and less skilled sims too. I hope in time using your WSC mods will eventually stop that mess though.

  7. Good morning,

First, thanks again for all your hard work! Pretty sure you’re why I’m still able to play this crazy game. :62:

That said, I need to let you know with this mod installed, my sims can’t watch tv at all. I click on it and get a route fail. I even rearranged the living room, bought a new tv, etc. Nothing worked. :idontgetit:

I took it out and now they can watch again. I checked to see if I had any other mods that might conflict but didn’t find any right off. I use quite a few mods, so that is possible. Just wanted to let you know, hopefully it’s just happening with me.

    Anyway, Happy Simming!

ETA: Um, I might have the old file.I’ll check and revise if needed. :thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon:
