  1. Wow had no idea this was such an obscure site.  :ohmy2:  Sarcasm aside, I have been on this site here for the past 7 years.  TS3 was where it all began.  Here and at NRaas on Wikispace and when Twallan was in control.  I actually learned about MTS via posts on NRaas forum so in this scenario MTS was the obscure site for me.  I stopped venturing about for mods when I got hit with two stupid glitches when I downloaded a few things off TSR, that doll and the stupid boot glitch and so I stop being a naughty little girl and running away from the Asylum.  :giggle2:

It took me a long time to delve into TS4 I was like most at the start, I had everything in TS3 and so much was missing out of TS4 however I was tempted by the mods of Shimrod and thus I decided to give it a shot all because Shimrod was a familiar modder to me because of all the TS3 & Sim Medieval mods I used that I collected from, why home of course and that is what got me to head over to MTS and give it another go this time with TS4.  A few modders I've seen on the NRaas site or who names popped up on the forum well I would see about toying with their mods - both TS3 and TS4 on MTS.  Then enter a brand new modder into my life and his name just so happens to be Coolspear.  I was already following another modder, Deaderpool, on MTS and when he went through his own set of drama over on MTS and went off and created his own site.  Sadly, I was there to watch the drama unfold again on MTS now with Coolspear.  Then what would happen and it tickled me.  Why Coolspear was heading here to the Asylum and you sure can bet that I was skipping my way on back to this rather obscure site where it all began for me.   So I say, you are truly home.

Perhaps it is me, but it seems TS4 created a new group in the Sim Community, the entitled group.  I have seen such behavior on other places I would go check out for TS4 mods only to never join up to become a member and move on.  I've seen people steal modders creations and toss it behind paywalls or outright claim it as their own and force you to pay for joining their services.  I have witnessed others behave just like M.A. towards other modders who do this as a hobby and were kind enough to share with the community and such entitlement actually forced a few of these modders to just say fuck it.  I just see it as a major shift between TS3 and TS4 community - seen this type of behavior in another community that I eventually had to walk away from, the younger folks today.

But all in all, I enjoy this site as the obscure site it is.  This community is how TS4 should be and not be so toxic as it can become at times - and boy can it become ugly.  As Coolspear said and I agree with wholeheartedly:

Then just say to yourself you've arrived at a special place. And enjoy that most of all.

  2. And just like FoamytheGirl (a subtle nod to Foamy the Squirrel I approve btw), I had the same bug as well where the guys at the Science lab showed up in dresses.  Took out the unlocking of hidden outfits and lo and behold, they dressed like the civilized men of Space once more.  Had that problem for the longest as well so I just avoid the unlocking of hidden outfits mod and keep an eye out if it goes crazy again.  The Astronauts at the lab are my test subjects now that I use only clothing recolor CC. They wearing dresses then I know whatever new recolors of clothing I added won't work and well, my priorities are straight.  Rather have your mods working correctly, uniforms included than try to beat misbehaving clothing CC into behaving nicely.

  3. Yes, I have been getting very deeply into using all of your mods and turning off or on a lot of options in MC.  Been a long and arduous process, lots of trial and error when it comes to MC but I think it's been well worth it since adding all these WSC mods to my game.  Now, to work on putting all these homeless party Aliens into a family, love having my bin not flooded with useless NPCs.  You sir, have been a major game changer.  :tuflwr:

  4. In MC Command under Career Setting is an option Career_FillCareerInactiveOnly that (posted from the site's documentation):  When assigning careers to Sims, if this is true then any household marked 'Played' will be bypassed by the Sims 4 career-assignment process. The default setting is false.

Just to see, I checked my settings and had that set to true and got 16 newly generated homeless NPC sims.

  5. Glad to see that all is well in the Coolspear world.  One of my many favorite creators for Sims 4.  All mods from the other places that I use of yours have been running well for me since the last patch.   Can't wait to get my hands on some of the others I am missing out on however.  Once again, glad to see all is well and having you here at the Asylum is even better.
