  1. I am curious about something related to these Street Life mods.

Recently, I played a family in which I plopped down a few fun items outside a small park in Willow Creek. I noticed -a lot- of Sims walking by my playable family's house. These Sims are the ones seeking fun if I moused over them and looked at their tool tips. I checked the Manageable Families tab and noticed there are multiple families generated using the 16 All-In-One NPCs's original last names before I changed theirs to AllInOne.

I don't mind families being generated off the 16 NPCs using their original last names, but I wondered if there is a cap to how many families and individuals can be generated for the Street Life mods. I want to keep a minimum number of NPCs in my game so I can have custom families placed around the world. Not only that, but to keep the game stable and manageable.

By the way, I actually liked the feeling there are people passing by in the streets just like in the cities. This definitely makes everything interesting.

  2. Figured out what was wrong. For some reason, the mod on MTS hasn't been updated to Seasons, but on his personal tumblr page, that same mod was updated to Seasons. I grabbed the newer mod off Patreon where he had a bunch of mods at and put it into my game. Made sure it was loaded  and tried vanishing a pile of leafs. Worked!!

I had to google whether Tmex had another place where he was hosting his personal stash of mods at. Seemed like the newer or updated mods were available on Patreon or tumblr for him.

No other conflicts to report at all.

  3. Thank you. I took a peek under the hood into your Sim template and saw a list of traits, both blacklisted and explicit. I plan to make a list for my own reference when I do run across some odd NPC here and there in my game saves.

Speaking of traits. Are you planning on making custom traits for these NPCs in the future?

I am definitely looking forward to more NPC roles being added to the 16 baristas. :) This stuff is what makes me want to play again.

  4. I came back to state that the temp mod worked for me. I sent my Sim over to the Hook, Line and Sink lot to generate 16 baristas. Although. they all showed up as skeletons. I checked their traits and realized I left icemunmun's skeleton CAS trait cheat in my game folders by accident. :hm:  Took that out promptly after exiting the game without saving. I ALSO have another mod that have custom traits from basemental's site. ALL of these baristas have the Drug Dealer trait! :teehee:

Lesson: Take out the custom traits before generating the 16 baristas. That tidbit of info would have been helpful for us setting up custom baristas. :rolleyes2:

Can you provide a list of traits given to the 16 baristas because you mentioned that they would be generated with the traits and skills to be perfect for most of the NPC jobs in the game?

Hoped you guys had a good laugh with my experience! :D

  5. Like Jenn, I also am having issues with big piles of stinky leaves all over the public lots outside my playable household. When I sent my Sim to a venue or community lot, the leaves always ruined my Sim's mood. So I tried to make the leaf piles vanish. The command does not work on community lots. In one game save inside Willow Creek, I saw multiple piles of leaves everywhere except my resident lot where I primarily play my family.

I hope something can be done to fix these lingering piles of leaves on the community/venue lots. Certainly does ruin the atmosphere and mood of Sims visiting those lots with a lot of trees. Kind of reminded me of Sims 2 where these leaves sit in big piles rotting until the dirty leaves affected the lot.

  6. The only ghost I have in the Homeless bin was a dog for some reason. A non-ghost cat named Mayor Whiskers was also in the Homeless bin. Then I have Father Winter in there too. I just cleaned out all of the families except for 2 Vampire families. I simply edited them with new clothes, better traits and vampire powers to actually be Vampires (no tweaking in S4S or anything else - just good old fashioned CAS and some cheats). I'd be happy to share a pic of my Vatore siblings, Sal and Salva, with an updated look. Salva (used to be called Lilith) looked much better than some creepy Vampire from old movies.

Dropping the temp mod into my game and send my Sim over to the Hook, Line and Sinker cafe for a quick spin to generate new NPCs. I don't have anything blocking townie regeneration anymore. I used to have Shimrod's mod to prevent townie generation for a while until he stopped modding.

I will report back if the mod works for me.

  7. I ran the Mod Conflict Detector tool and came across two files from this thread that are exactly the same. They showed up as duplicates with different file names.

The two files are named "decor b 17" and "decor b 24" with the same number of bytes. The only difference between the two are the time stamps.

They are located in the subfolder named "base" inside the zipped file.

I didn't catch this sooner until I ran it today after making changes to the types of mods I wanted for my game style. I'm surprised no one else caught this sooner!

  8. I recently replaced 2 of the 3 lots with your versions. I got the message that I was missing 7 Build Mode items when I plopped a new lot down. I think I have every mod you created  including the "Size Does Matter" mod. My game has all of the packs released by EA including the free items.

From what I saw comparing the pics of your lots to my lots, I couldn't see what items were missing from these lots. I did know they are Build Mode items.

The 3rd lot (Big Chalet lot) lacked 6 Build Mode items too.

Any idea what those 6 or 7 items are that we need to put on the lot to achieve the same effect?

  9. Hey there, coolspear! I spent  a good amount of time narrowing down an issue to the cloned fridges from this thread because I am having trouble with my Vampire parents trying to bake a birthday cake for one of their children. The ALPHA mod is fine. But the cloned fridges aren't performing as they should be in my game saves.

The first issue is that the fridges aren't giving the option(s) to Vampires to cook anything from the fridge, microwave or oven. I have a lot of plasma fruit stocked in the fridge and nothing else. The only option the adult Vampires had was to make plasma fruit salad, Plasma Janes or the plasma packs. There are Baking and Cooking options on the fridge and oven, but when I clicked on the Cook option and selected White Cake (cake I use for the birthday kids) to cook, the interaction does NOT appear in the Sim's interaction queue. My Vampire parent could not cook a cake for her birthday kid at all.

The same applies to other conventional food from both Cooking and Baking options. I thought as long as there are plasma fruits stocked inside the fridge for those fruit-based meals and drinks to appear in the Cooking and Baking menus?

The second issue is that the Vampire CHILDREN cannot eat their meals from the fridge or microwave. They have normal Human motives that need to be satisfied. The ONLY option available for Vampire children is the ambrosia meal which seems a little bit farfetched. I got free Pet Treats out of those ambrosia meals worth $2500 each to sell which I think is rather cheaty for the play style I use on that particular family. I clicked on Chicken Nuggets on the microwave for the Vampire child in the same family, but the interaction to cook nuggets in the microwave never showed up in the child's interaction queue.

Vampires are starving in the household because they cannot access the food in the fridge even tho I set the Eating and Drinking autonomy on for the lot.

I do have icemunmun's custom meals installed along with TheFoodGroup's custom interactions, but both mods were pulled out to do testing in depth to get to the bottom of -why- my Vampires cannot cook or bake items from the fridge, microwave and oven.

I have two questions to clarify here:

    1. Are Vampires (both adults and children) intentionally prevented from obtaining normal food (supposed to be infused with plasma fruits) by mod design?

    2. If not, will these cloned fridges be updated at some point?

The last time they were either edited, they were released around May 2017.

I kept returning here to check for further updates on the cloned fridges and alpha mod, hoping that someone else might have the same problem I have with my Vampire family. I ended up having to play my Human family until these issues are looked into to determine what's happening.

Again, thanks for all you do for us. I'm already finding it tough to play without these particular mods installed. :(

  10. That does make sense. But I had her mod taken out recently in an experiment to find mods that I like for my play style.

My Vampire Sims stay hungry all the time despite having sipped from their plasma bags, their Hunger bars not exactly filling up as they should considering the plasma bags are Vampire meals.

Tanja1986's mod fill up the Hunger bar when they finish their plasma bags.

I use both to get the effect I want. Your mods load before hers and should work both ways despite the conflict.

  11. I'm trying to figure out why one of the storage items (looks like a camping table) stopped working with the latest patch. I tried to open it because I had several plants and seeds stored inside the table for my Gardener so she can have plenty of seeds and plants to work with in the future.

None of the storage items shown in the first post are working because I tried them all so I can retrieve the plants and seeds for my Sim. I checked to see if something is mentioned about these objects pending an update or not.

My latest Game Version is 1.46.18.1020 if that helps.

  12. I came back to see if anyone is seeing an issue with the new mod or not. My Gardener is level 7, and she has all three options to control her plants' growth and season. I selected the season on one bush to be "In Season". The tooltip showed the bush as being in season, but the plant looked like it is still dormant regardless.

I don't have anything else installed that involves gardens beside your gardening mods. So there aren't conflicts to check.

  13. Hrm. Tanja1986 was able to modify the values in one file (maybe two) for the plasma packs (all types) to boost hunger to full when a Vampire use a plasma pack. I have the mod installed to work with yours, and they work well together despite the conflict shown in the Mod Conflict Detector tool. I kept it updated personally. If you want a peek, let me know.

I used to drink honey as a kid, and yeah, strength is in sweetness indeed! :)

  14. I really like the idea of this mod, so I snatched it up! But the description reminded me of something. In Sims 2, bushes and flowers grow, and if they're not either watered or trimmed, weeds appear around them. In Sims 4, the flowers, shrubs and some low-lying trees remain static like plastic plants our grandmas have around their houses. :D

Would it be possible to look into getting the  plants and shrubs (from Build Mode category of plants, trees and shrubs) to grow weeds and require water so they can count toward Gardening and maybe Fitness?

Again, thanks for this awesome mod! Makes my game more enjoyable and challenging now. :)
