  1. I really like the idea of this mod, so I snatched it up! But the description reminded me of something. In Sims 2, bushes and flowers grow, and if they're not either watered or trimmed, weeds appear around them. In Sims 4, the flowers, shrubs and some low-lying trees remain static like plastic plants our grandmas have around their houses. :D

Would it be possible to look into getting the  plants and shrubs (from Build Mode category of plants, trees and shrubs) to grow weeds and require water so they can count toward Gardening and maybe Fitness?

Again, thanks for this awesome mod! Makes my game more enjoyable and challenging now. :)

  2. Hey Coolspear! I hope you can find some time to look into an issue with one of the mods from this thread when you are able to. I originally thought it was a conflict between this mod and Tanja1986's plasma drink mod. But I did further testing this morning to locate a couple of problem mods. One of the problem mods is this mod I will describe below.

With the recent patch, something in this particular mod, "True Excellent Vampire Drinks & Various Sips & No Maid & No Humans", broke big time. My Vampire Sim tried to drink a plasma pack (didn't matter if it was a medical, frog or fish based plasma pack) and reset almost immediately. I would describe this as a "jump bug", similar to what a Sim in Sims 2 would do if they interacted with a broken item. The plasma pack ended up on the floor by my Vampire Sim who reset after she attempted to drink it. I also noticed that while she had the plasma packs in her inventory, the popup description of the plasma pack came up blank rather than what we expect to see: a description and a name for the item when we hover over an item with our mouse.

I took this mod out and tested again to find out that she was able to drink the plasma packs again without a reset bug or a blank description when I hovered my mouse over the pack in her inventory.

Hopefully this will help you locate the problem inside this mod quickly enough to see what's going on. I do hope that it is not a big fix that would take a lot of your time fixing because we all know how hard you work keeping your mods updated. I could too but this particular mod is a bit fancy for my brain to assimilate this early in the morning. :D

Many thanks again for all you do.

  3. I recently came across another mod that edits identical files as the ones in this mod. This one was done by LittleMsSam originally at MTS2, a bug fix for the progress bar above the Sim's head not progressing after the Sim quit writing a book. I couldn't locate her mod at that site or her new site. I am wondering if it is possible to look into whether there is a bug with the progress bar not updating after the Sim quit writing a book or not. If there is, is it possible to incorporate the bug fix?

  4. I did receive several exception error logs in the last few days, and I'm trying to track down the cause of all these errors. Some were outdated mods that I overlooked by mistake, and others were new mods I never tried before.

About the sack bags, I had a Sim make a sack bag. She left it on the counter and went to do something else. I think like someone said, it had a day left of freshness before it spoils. The Sim did not 1. put the sack in their inventory to take with them to school or work and/or 2. put the sack in the fridge when the Sim is done making it.

I read that the parents were supposed to make sack lunches and give them to their children before they go off to school. I don't know if this is the way it's intended to work or not.

I'm suddenly having memories of my mother making those nasty liverwurst sandwiches for my school lunches.

  5. Coolspear, I got a chance to send my sim to the Maxis-made spa. You were correct about the massage tables to an extent. I noticed one Sim requesting a massage from the massage therapist, but the therapist seemed to ignore the Sim and stood there reading something in his hand. But I am curious if is the white massage table on the Maxis lot giving the problem or is it another massage table?

I did direct my Sim to a massage table to ask for a Deep Tissue massage, and she got it.

The Reflexologist had no trouble complying with a Sim's request for a foot massage.

So I am curious -which- interaction these Sims were trying to perform to get a massage from one of the massage therapists. There seemed to be an autonomy on the Sim's part,to an extent. It just seems like the interaction wasn't going through for a reason.

    Edited:

I am curious if a playable Sim can become a therapist like in Sims 3? Because if it is possible for my playable Sim to become a therapist, I can check what interactions the non-playable Sims are attempting to perform from the massage therapist.

  6. I'll take a look at that table later. I doubt the mods I have affect anything from the Spa pack. I wished I was an object creator so I could clone the table and fix the problem, but I don't. Maybe it is time for me to learn!

Let us know what else you need for us to check out.

  7. I read that the recent update addressed the kleptomaniac stuff that sounded like what you're encountering during your game sessions. I haven't found anything missing from either lot you made for the Science and Doctor careers other than not having specific stuff packs. I do have all of the stuff packs now so that is not an issue.

I did use Zerbu's mod and noticed the same issue sending a non-scientist to the lab (your lab I plopped down to replace the Maxis lot). BUT I haven't sent a non-doctor to the custom hospital yet.

I might have to remove a  couple of Zerbu mods. Yeah, he went Patreon expecting people to fork over money for things he never bother to update once they're released.

Are those three career lots "hidden" like the Sylvan Glades lot? If they aren't, then I might just take that travel mod out.
