When I logged in to Origin earlier my account was already used. I changed my password but apparently without success. Why would anyone want to use my account?

That certainly does suck and I hope you contacted Origin about it!

I contacted them twice and did not get a reply. I would switch on the registration check but the security question is in Spanish or Portugese and I don't know what is asked.

I think when you registered they let you choose a question and your answer to it for verification that it's you. I think you also need it if you want to change your password. (I forgot my answer. X) )
