RuffAndToothless, Condolences to you regarding your parents. The loss of my Dad about five years ago is what brought me back to the Sims, much needed escape from reality at times. 

Coolspear it's like a silent telepathic wave burst out when you came back. I started playing again and even thought it's "working" better, I just can't play without your mods. It's literally two entirely different games.Sims 4 (which is a shi**y unfinished game without potential) and Sims 4 Coolspear Edition (the level of gaming entertainment and fun that even Maxis/EA couldn't dream of, much less pull off).  My mind is spinning trying to figure out the words to express my happiness and gratitude. So happy you are back! Thank you thank you thank you. Thank you!!!!

Your excitement is infectious my friend. I just exited the game to get some better lots for Selvadorada and checked the site. Very excited. You've made my Archaeologist sim one happy Adventurer. The cooler already rocked. and the table tweaks are phenomenal, now I can't wait to jump back in and with these. Thank you once again!

I should have hit the video clip button, but I was staring at my screen in confusion. What I though was the host was apparently a comedian, the host comes after. That was the original looping dialogue. Then she left and all the celebs were standing at the stage and periodically clapping and hooting at nothing. After about four rounds they left. Lol definitely like a laugh track in an 80's sit com. I was hurt, stayed at the bar until 6am (time flies when you go from 50 to 25 speed lol)..

something must get embedded in the save, I had to go back to before I changed the time in MCCC and also reset it to what it was, otherwise odd things were happening, like the awards were on Tuesday, I set it to 45 (originally had 50) and they jumped on the calendar to wednesday, then stopped showing up. At one point I was unemployed, another I had no gigs even though I just finished the reqs for one 

I suppose it's like the warning about switching the setting in seasons from one week to two or four, etc. Now those events rely on the originally set data. Just an assumption, I'm sure someone much smarter than me could make sense of it all.

I'm just glad to be back, kicking ass an wining those trophies.lol  all that praise I get from other sims is what it's all about. I never realized the clapping was so pre programmed until there was an awards show with no host, and no winners. We're living a great big lie!!!! ;)

Time to put my imagination hat on and go back to my pretend life binge lol. Happy simming, good luck!

It's been working for me still. I've sitll been switching between 24 and 16, testing based on household size and interactive objects. But I've found no difference since the patch, sti;; amazing amazing stuff. Coolspears much much respect you Genius!

And a friend of mine had all manner of issues with altered game time and acting, such as not attending auditions, not going to work, getting stuck on the lot, not being able to cancel auditions etc - which could only be fixed by changing career, then changing back and using cheats to return to the previous career level - but it would only work for so long before bugging out again. When I switched my time to default earlier it was a mess.  I had to go back to a save before I changed it, and also set the mccc.cfg file to match that time. Very not smart experiment on my part, I lucked out lol. I'm running at 50 and it's been good, also using the cool1_sim_QuickerAutonomy&SimulationLagImprovements_TS24_OverridesFolder.package with cool1_sim_QuickerAutonomy_FunIsActuallyMoreImportantThanYouThink_OverridesFolder.package and things have been the smoothest for me since I started playing the game. Even after the patch. 

Just don't change your time at all, even with mccc, unless starting a new game, at least that has been my experience thus far. I believe it was fine in the past but now it just messes things up (on an existing game).

I think you're right. As I said, I didn't do any "true" testing. I didn't notice before I wrote the above post that when I exited the game it was Saturday. When I reloaded the game with the time speed changed it was Tuesday. Even though it was Tuesday, the flea marked still triggered and the Awards event was on the calendar, but for that day, Tuesday. I went the those awards, people showed up, it said it started, but there was no emcee and most had left, and it also said it ended. It was really strange but your post makes sense,

Thanks for sharing this will hopefully help me fix what I broke of the already broken.the land of that which does not work. It's funny because mod authors are the lifeblood of Sims 4 and each time you get the game to the most tolerable level of play, thanks to people that put amazing effort into mods/fixes etc. a new patch is announced. Ridiculous, to state the obvious. Patching a roof made of toilet tissue during a rain storn. Anyway I'm rambling again, time to see how much I messed up my save lol. Thanks again.

On a side note I'm looking forward to Coolspears musings on the patch. I think that's what I like the most. Takes the time to do amazing things and still has time to give his take on the incredible ridiculousness. I'm beginning to think EA's patch/update policy is "don't fix anything, add some objects to distract them, slap a few random lines of xml in there, and mix a dash of something that requires recompiling scripts, eventually the bugs will work themselves out" as the exec winks at the "developers" knowing the inside joke  is that the molders will eventually fix things.and some will lay the foundation for their next game pack. "Hey look there's a road to fame mod that's popular, let's make one"."some people figured out how to modify the weather, we better get going on seasons" etc.but I'm waxing the obvious and still rambling. After reading your post I tried to test it a little. Nothing conclusive so I hope this isn't a waste of a post. I was running at a game speed of 50 and working with the 16 and 24 mods. 

I just took out the mod and changed my speed back to default. I usually didn't have many problems with doing the acting jobs, as I had the connected perk and another one (can't remember offhand) so I never needed to do makeup or wardrobe. 

Anyway, I reloaded and the first thing I had was the awards show. It seem to start on time but one person started playing piano and the host was stuck in some dialogue loop which included bumping the microphone to her head. The normal celebrity NPCs showed up, clapped and cheered, but no awards were given out and no end of ceremony was announced. I waited until 6am and the emcee was still on stage. Wow does default time go fast.

Not sure if any of this helps at all. The simulation lag mods seemed to still be working for me even after the patch. The acting career is fine, just requires a dozen mods to get rid of the ridiculous bugs (the walk, the shine, the disgusted on lot load thing, etc.). As for the awards show (what I hoped would be the best part) it is not only completely idiotic (i get an award for best acting followed by two other winning for tight, and tighter, pants) and that only recently happened with all the mods fixing as much as possible (thanks @coolspear btw, love all your stuff, you make the game fun). But the majority of get famous is completed f-d, and I think that's good because if it starts to work I think I'll be more pi**ed off when/if I find out how stupid it really is. Maybe broke is good.

My apologies for the incoherent rambling, I hope there is something useful here. Oh yeah, running my game at speed 50 with the 24 or 16 lag fix mods still works for me.
