  1. Ok @MandatoryAccount, I'm so sorry that you had to make your mandatory account, but now I kinda see exactly why TFM has done it, otherwise we get whiners and complainers. Boo hoo, you "had" to make an account.  Get over it! At least you found your mods.

Part of the reason that Coolspear left MTS is because he wasn't getting support from staff and members. Well guess what?? He gets that here. You do realize that he could have just up and left, right? That he could have just decided that he wasn't going to take the ungratefulness of some people and said the big old FU to us all. But no, he found this community of folks on this "obscure site".

If you hadn't noticed, this site is ad free because of people who want to see it going. Not so obscure!

As I see it, you have a couple of choices if you want to continue to benefit from all of the wonderfulness that is The Sim Asylum. First, read the rules! No drama is one of them. No bringing up drama from other sites is another. Another choice is to stop complaining! Either be glad that you found Coolspear and his mods or don't. I don't give a flying, well you know.

I am a moderator for this lovely piece of internet. If you don't like the rules, then that's totally fine! But you don't have to come her and crap all over everything just because you didn't get your way. My grandson has better manners than that, and he's 7!

So like it or don't. Stay or leave. Totally up to you. But do not come back and gripe again. I won't stand for it.

thanks for locking your mods behind a mandatory account on some random forums and deleting them all from modthesims, it's SUPER convenient to make an account to download a single mod, I really love it

Look at it this way. You may have found a community in which you might actually enjoy.

Also, Coolspear gave you an excellent response! You know, he might have only said "you're welcome" and moved on. But he actually took time to answer you.

Oh, and by the way, welcome to The Asylum. I hope you actually take a minute to look around and enjoy the atmosphere and maybe participate a little.

  3. @iamjaylynif you've updated with the latest patch, there is a good possibility that this won't work for you. Please wait until Coolspear has a chance to go through his mods and check the compatibility with the patch. He will post and keep us all updated.

Meanwhile, it's always best to remove your mod folder prior to updating with the patch. You could break your saves and even worse, your game.

  4. @Clorox, please look over the rules really quickly. Most are common sense but the one that you keep breaking is where you shouldn't quote the post that is directly above yours. It clutters up the thread and makes it hard to follow.

I hope you're finding everything that you need here! Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Oh, and no need to apologize for your English! We have a lot of members whose first language is not English. :yahoo:

  5. @Fern48, the rules state that you're not supposed to ask a creator if a mod will be updated. If coolspear does this one, he will let us know by updating the thread. But he also has a post indicating that he is taking some time off during the holidays to get a little rest and spend time with his family and friends.

Thank you for understanding and for being an active member of the community.

  6. @shabazz31091please read the rules. Not only have you asked coolspear to update something that appears to be working, I'm pretty sure that you didn't make sure that nothing else was causing your issue.

Always pull mods and check them before you assume that one mod is "breaking" your game. And then, and only then, can you POLITELY ask if the mod is the issue. But never ask that a mod be updated.

Coolspear does an excellent job of letting us know which of the mods need updating, are fine, or are just completely borked.
