Hmm, when I first used it a couple days ago without changing any of the settings or anything, my game didn't get messed up. I wonder if Grant improved that? It didn't touch or move anything in my Mods\Packages folder. I had to move it all to the downloads folder myself before it started moving things around. But yeah, I definitely recommend reading the tutorial first :)

I had no problem with my in progress game when I started using CC magic. It didn't mess anything up.

CCM is wonderful, awesome, and dangerous. My CC collection is huge now.

I had some custom skin, hair and contact on my sim, and I was also using some of armiel's stuff. After merging everything with CCM, I opened my game and I saw that my sim's skin was black and her hair got replaced. Armiel's shelves had completely vanished with everything I had put on them.

I'm not saying that the program isn't good, and I followed Mimm's tutorial when I tried it.

It's just that for me, at that moment, redecorating wasn't an option,.
