    I'm *this close* to uninstalling Sims 3 and selling the discs to the used games store. I haven't updated to 1.38 yet, but everything that was working before isn't working now.

      tell me about it. I got so bored and frustrated due to Sims 3 glitches and stuff that I dug out the ol' Sims 1 games and installed them. so I am now playing that. nostalgia hit me hard!
