The sim on the left is uncovering a  dirt clump in the screenshot I posted above , you get them from excavating dig sites. Once the dirt clump is uncovered, you have to authenticate the artifact that was inside. She was a level 9 archaeologist at the time and the sim on the right was attempting to refine a crystal next to her. She is level 10.  I am using both mods.

I tried again with 2 different sims in the same household and got the same results.  I don't have any issue authenticating artifacts, but refining crystals, extracting elements, and uncovering dirt clumps all get hung up at about 3/4 of the way. Sorry this one is so dark. They were in a rush to get through their loot and sell it before their power got cut.

It happens with both low and high skilled archaeologists. Beatrice had low skill at the time and the sim next to her had maxed his out. He was attempting to extract an element I think. Some were working on JA aspirations at the time, others weren't, or at least not the archaeology one. In these screenshots, one of each had already completed the archeology aspiration and were maxed out in archaeology, the other two were not. 

Still having the same results. Authenticating regular artifacts goes super fast and finishes, but it is hanging up on dirt clumps and crystals.

Ok going to put the updated version in now.  With the previous version, I had it in two different saves and with different items. One was while uncovering a dirt clump and the other was refining a crystal so I am going to test one of each thing. So I will report back in a bit.

EDIT: It worked for authenticating artifacts but got hung up for dirt clumps, refining crystals and extracting elements. The dirt clump never got uncovered and the progress bar stayed at about 3/4. Same with the crystals. I had no problem with unauthenticated  artifacts.

I just tried again and I am still getting the same results. They never complete the final part of the interaction and it just loops over and over. In this case, I was trying to refine a crystal. 

I'll put this back in and see if the issue I was having remains. I've got two jungle explorers with tons of things to authorize and dirt clumps to uncover and at this rate they will be dead before they get through all they have.

I am having the same issue as Nocturnus. I just went on vacation for the first time and while my sim skilled up quickly to level 4, the clump of dirt never uncovered the artifact. I stopped the interaction and tried it a few times and had the same result.

Oh these are fabulous, thank you so much!  It takes even longer if you have two archaeologists working next to each other carrying on a conversation. I'm like "Shut up and get on with it!".

Amazing! My blood pressure just lowered a few notches at the very thought of this no longer happening. Definitely putting this in! Thank you!!!!!! 

Do you have a pet in the house? I didn't have this with writing, but my sim kept stopping her computer programming to play with her cats.

The invisible dishes drive me insane. Besides it being an incredibly annoying interaction, maybe I would like the choice to have ill mannered kids who curse and belch up a storm instead of these interactions forcing our little darlings to build up manners.

No, like seriously, I bitched and bitched so much about toddler checking it wasn't funny! It was frustrating beyond belief because I often like to play overstuffed households and it was unbearable with a toddler in this house.

You probably know this already but:

I ended up removing dollhouses from my household. I love playing overstuffed households and it was all too much to bear having dollhouses around without the mod. I locked the adults out but the kids and toddlers smash it too and then cry about it after.   Dollhouses are banned until further notice, they can play with other stuff for now. It's one of my most hated things. It makes ME want to smash something!
