@Coolspear I checked specifically for that mod, and I don't have it in my folder - I also removed ALL other mods and just loaded the save with cool1_venuesMyshunoMeadows_AsAlienParty_NoRunning&NoHouseFires only - that's when I got the error trying to visit the lot. I also loaded the game and visited the lot with NO mods, just to make sure it wasn't the save that was fucked - it loaded fine with no mods. The weird thing is that when I add all the other mods back, the lot suddenly loads, but with no alien spawning. So something is definitely different about my save that the game doesn't like with this mod in. I don't have any other mods that effect Myshuno meadows nor aliens (besides your sixam mod). Are aliens 'activated' somehow? I don't think I have any aliens in my save right now at all.

I'm having some issues with this, and I'm wondering how it works? The lot type shows up and I can switch to it fine, but aliens aren't spawning. At first I thought I must have some mod that interferes, but when I loaded the save with only this mod in the mod folder, the game was NOT happy. I tried to visit the lot and I was promptly returned the world picker and I got an error message. I loaded the game twice just to be sure I had deleted cache in between. When I put my mods back in, I can suddenly load the lot and visit it, but no aliens are spawning. Super weird.
Anyways, I understand if don't take a look but, I thought I'd let you know either way. @coolspear

@Fern48 I always delete the thumbnailcache before playing if I've added or changed something in the mods folder - or the changes won't take effect anyway. I got so used to deleting cache since my Sims 2 days, that I do it almost without thinking before playing even Sims 4. I probably do it more than I need to at this point - I have to remind myself when I haven't changed anything that I don't need to delete the cache. LOL

@coolspear it's possible I haven't run into this issue because I only have one played sim in the actor career. I don't have any reason to have any other sim in the career right now, so it might take a while for me to run into the issue.

@Coolspear Weird, I haven't noticed any of the issues you mentioned, but then I haven't played the entire career yet. I checked what files I have in my mods folder regarding the actor career, just to be sure:
cool1_careerActor_All-In-OneFilmStudioNPCs.package
cool1_careerActor_LessProducers.package
cool1_venuesActingStudio_NoRunning&NoFires.package
With those, the acting gig runs the way I want them, and works fine as far as I can tell. I'm not sure what you mean by 'background actors'? Maybe I just haven't reached that level yet - I'm gonna check next time I play what level my sim is in the career. -

I just played the actor career a couple of days ago, with this mod, and it all worked fine for me. I completely understand the change though, the maxis 'brain trust' keep messing things up.
Is it okay to keep the mod in the game as it was until the next patch though? As it seems to work great for me right now.

@coolspearI can confirm that using an unlocker mod is the culprit for the maid not wearing her uniform. I removed the base game part of fogity's unlocker mod, and violá the maid turned up in her uniform. It's this mod here: https://fogity.wordpress.com/mods/unlocked-cas-parts/

@coolspear I'm not sure if it's available as default or not, but I have the mod that unlocks all the clothes though - I'm pretty sure I don't have any recolours of the maid outfit, but I could be wrong. Hmm, interesting!

I've been meaning to ask, is there someone else here that have issues with the maids not wearing their uniforms? Maxis has completely messed them up for me - It's definitely kinda weird that the maid comes to work in a full length formal dress(!).

@tgdry6If you saved the household to the library, then they should be there, otherwise if you only transferred your save files, the household will be in that save only. Go into your previous save file and save the household if you haven't already - although I'm not sure if a household saved to the library will retain their npc status, I haven't tried to do that myself - if they don't retain their npc status, you either have to go back to the save where they are npc's, or make a new allinone household. @coolspear can probably answer if an allinone household saved to the library retains their npc status if you plop them back into a new save.

@Coolspear it was quite some time since I played a scientist, so I haven't had a reason to check this thread out for a while - I definitely don't have an old constructor anywhere in any of my saves, so if your offer to share a room still stands, I'm taking you up on it. :)

@Coolspear Ah I understand, the reason I got confused was because it happened suddenly and seemingly not attached to any patch. The uniforms for the npc's at the actor career are already effed up for me aswell - the male npc actor was wearing a ladies hat in the victorian times. I'm not judgemental, but I don't think that's what Maxis intended. LMAO
Do you think there's a way to make the maids use their everyday outfits? That way I could just change their uniforms with MC.

@Coolspear I was wondering about how the uniforms for NPC's like maids work? Since I installed the world control mod, the maids are not wearing any uniforms, but random clothes every time. Am doing something wrong?

@coolspearAh I understand, so I hadn't missed anything. Well that's good to know - so I can dress them up for mixologist in their everyday as a start - then I have to figure out the rest, because I use Littlemssam's professional employees lot trait that spawns extra npc's - so I need some sort of policy for my game for each of their outfit categories. LOL

Ah, so basically the NPC's use their everyday outfit as their work outfit, right? I knew I missed something. I assume the outfits are available in cas, lol I never really payed attention to if they are. @coolspear Btw these mods are fantastic - I loved going to a nightclub and have sims appear as 'dancers'. The club was full of sims, it's great!

I generated the 16 baristas and they show up okay, but my question is how to give them uniforms? Does it work to use mcc to edit the career outfits? I didn't think about the outfits when I generated the npc's on the café lot, because they showed up with uniforms.

LMAO Yes, I definitely have the no more disguised aliens mod - that explains it! I never really understood how all the spawning works, but now it makes sense - I'll take it out and load the lot as you decreed, sir. I knew there was something with the alien spawn that I wasn't getting. Phew, I feel almost relieved, I don't like it when there are mysteries in my game. LOL
