Or wanting tests done on someone that's already dead before they'll pay. I'm not joking. My sister-in-law works for a different doctor in the same group as the doctor my mom went to, and she told me and my brother that my mom's insurance company wanted a test done before they'll pay for her emergency room treatment. She died shortly after she went to the emergency room, so I don't know how they'll handle that.

My son has ADHD and takes medication for it. I specifically told the woman on the phone when applying for insurance that he has ADHD and needs meds. Does my new insurance cover his ADHD meds? Of course not.

Insurance companies don't seem to want to pay for ANYTHING. What they do cover they try their best to find a loop hole so they don't have to pay. Makes me wonder what they are good for.
