  1. I'd be fine with an OPTIONAL, invitation-only multiplayer mode. But I don't see why anyone thinks players want to play a multiplayer life sim. Maxis figured this out back in 2013-- and yet, they're going full speed ahead into the same mistake again. Watch gaming news, and you'll see game after game flopping. And these are games that SHOULD be multiplayer. Everyone thinks they are going to make the next Overwatch, and instead they keep making the next Concord.
  2. The cake thing is some surprisingly realistic dream/sleepwalking behavior! "Cake, I want some cake. (doesn't actually see the cake they already got out) Cake, I want some cake--"
  3. In reality, flood water is absolutely vile and you would definitely NOT want to drink it. And anything that got wet, is ruined.
  4. Marathoner body. I wonder if any life sims will ever be smart enough to develop a character according to what sort of training they've been doing, and not one "ultimate fit" body.
  5. Well, in TS4 you can wear anything you want as long as it's designated your cold weather outfit! Must be the same deal: the game has no way of knowing what it actually looks like.
  6. My guess would be that it is a release for a Mac version of the beta you all are playing with, because from what you guys have said it really doesn't sound like they are on track to go live with the official release by August. But that's just a guess on my part.
  7. Wicked Whims does violate the TS4 EULA if you interpret it strictly, but EAxis have made it pretty clear that they don't have a problem with WW. They've made joking references to it with their various "Wicker Whims" items, and they certainly know who Turbodriver is, and they feature his family-friendly mods on CurseForge. So that part sounds like it's simply grounds to ban anything that is genuinely objectionable, just like in the TS4 EULA. The "no modding for profit" part is a bad idea though. They should consider EAxis' policy of "early access is okay, but everything must be made free after x amount of time." The best and most complex mods are by creators who make enough on Patreon to do it full time.
  8. I did wonder, because Turbo had just said a few days ago "not at this time, at least." Making a mod for an in-development game is a risk, because it's happened before that when the game officially launches and they enable mod support, you might have to start all over because the mod enabler that was available and the actual mod support are completely different.
  9. So check out what just popped up on WickedCC. Hopefully it's not an April Fool's.
