If you can confirm the exact time between decay stages the default rate is currently at, then I'll know for certain if that's why I abandoned it. But it all seems a bit fishy, if you'll pardon the pun. If it is a default 24 hours per quality decay, then that's all my mod ever did originally anyway. I could upload it as is, - (as it always was) - but it's exactly the same as the Maxis value now.

My sim caught a fish at 11:46 am and the tool tip said the Freshness was excellent. At 6:35 am the next morning, 19 hours later, the tool tip said freshness was average. So it's not quite 24 hours, but it's close enough that I don't need a mod for it. Thank you for checking into it for me!

  2. @darky0341 please don't use the word "homo". We have a wide variety of people here, and everyone is welcome. It also violates our rule against hate speech.

  3. @Simtastic72 No one was talking down to you. Great8Girl was just being nice, trying to be helpful, and explaining how things work around here. A lot of people play test mods so we always explain why that is a bad idea. Children aren't allowed here, so we never speak like they are. I'm going to assume you are having a bad day and that's why you misunderstood her intent.

Also, when you can't see someone's body language or facial expression it's hard to determine their tone. You thought she was being condescending when she was being helpful. Your comment sounds snotty and rude to me, but I'm sure that's not how you meant it. Please keep that in mind when reading or replying to posts. We're a friendly group here, we don't talk down to anyone. Thanks!

  4. @islarose You should never play test mods. Mods that are incompatible with a patch may work, while breaking other unrelated interactions and game functions, cause unseen errors in the game files, and in extreme cases can break your save. Anytime there is a patch you should remove your mods and wait for the creator to compare the code and confirm that they are compatible.

If you do decide to take that risk and play test a mod, please do not post your "results" here at the Asylum. Thanks!

  5. @justme2  Did you compare the mod's code to the code in the patch? If not then you have no idea whether or not the mod is compatible with the patch.
