Nope, if you buy inZOI now in early access, you've bought it!
No need to buy it again when the final release eventually appears.
Time to join in the fun and create hunks for your Zoi to interact with.
Thanks, @Klinn!!! It's quite tempting.
Fortunately for my pocket, I must focus on real life stuff for a while before having money for gaming.

This is another reason for me to wait. I'd like to have not things like events, or tasks, but rather, to have more freedom about what to do in game. I usually play a household with a lot of control over who goes where. Yeah, I know. The Freedom is for me, but I must control my characters!

- Skilling them up to see what happens. Will my main Zoi eventually be able to sing properly? Or paint a lovely picture? Or play the guitar well?
- Building my first real house, i.e. one oriented towards how I like to play these sorts of games.
- Seeing how I can modify the game world to introduce more of my own Zoi families to provide suitable interactions with my main Zoi(s).
I love open-ended games.
Love your goals! I'd probably have something like them.

Surely not!
2 hours ago, Klinn said:The ones I really appreciate are:
- Improved behavior so Zois now eat food immediately after cooking (Thank goodness!)
- Slowed the rate of Karma change
- Added an age adjustment feature (sounds cool, will have to experiment with it)
Edit: Apparently inZOI has sold over 1 million copies in its first week! It's the fastest launch performance that Krafton has ever experienced.
I've heard conflicting reviews about Krafton, and I hope the bad is not as bad as the good can be.
Good to see they're making improvements as soon as they get the feedback.
BTW, is it possible to save your Zois without having to share them on Canvas?

I agree with you, Fire!!!!
But it makes sense that they'd need to wait until the game is officially released. The hint, though, is very promising.
I keep forgetting that, if I buy the Early Access version, I'd still need to buy the game after official release, right? I was about to put it in my shopping cart, but from my experience with Subnautica, I'd honestly prefer to pay for the game only once upon official release. The hint of a WW mod for InZoi is also a very good incentive to wait.

Thanks, Klinn!!
I'm not on my PC, so I'll get back to you on which house I tried this. It'd be very interesting to learn from what you do.

Thank you, Kimi for making this thread, and Klinn for your super useful and easy to follow tutorials!!!
I think that the devs are listening to feedback, so I'd like to believe that they will provide either a wider door arch, or the option to select the area to fill with different floor styles.
Now, Klinn, I tried your tutorial on a prebuilt house in the Building Studio, but I could not get the house to get a foundation. I've not had time to try very carefully, and I did not have your tutorial open when I did, so I will try it again a.s.a.p., but did you try it on the Building Studio before you got the game, please?

Ohhh! What a shame! I just hope that maybe the number of clicks on the link will tell Turbo that there really is an audience for such a mod. I personally think that it would make playing with InZoi much better for me.

Love your long posts, too, Klinn!!!
Sooo, you can make a household with only teens, but they can't make out or do any romance?
I don't mind having males taller than females, but I don't like it that females simply can't be taller at all.
I think InZoi focuses a lot on the teenage market and maybe that is why the rabbit hole high school is much better than the professor/taxi sitting rabbit hole, hehehe.
Checking that out, BrianZ!

I had a little time and watched this video. I think it is quite useful and I hope you all find it useful as well.

I agree with you, @Klinn, especially if there is such a life stage as adolescent / pre teen. That is the age for exploration, so to speak, and hormones kicking in and giving people those 'crushes', right? And I also agree that as the official position of the game developers, they could make it so that adolescents could only develop those romantic crushes, emotions with other adolescents, but could not act upon them and definitely, they should not have sex within their age group or any other group.
But teens should at least be able to go on dates, and kiss, for example. Maybe they could make it (very ambitiously) so that, as teens get closer to their aging up, they can make out in their dates with other teens? As it stands in this Early Access stage, it is extremely unrealistic for a game that has such realistic visual style.

Great information, thank you all!

the taxi cab is the rabbit hole, there's no building anywhere. Bizarre.
That's quite strange!

No teenage sweethearts in high school. Maybe the developer wanted to avoid the chance of teenage pregnancies, but there's other ways to program around that. Anyway, seems strange that they're left out of the dating world until they become young adults.
That's not the best choice, I'd say. And after all, most of the Zois from the promotionals look like teenagers anyways!

That message by Kjun was very thoughtful indeed.
@KayBee many congratulations on the new shiny!!!

Oooh! Thank you for your scientific endeavors, @Klinn!!!!
I must admit that, on most posters, a semi nude is much more enticing and stylish that a full all balls out picture!!!!
Yummy Male Creature (tm)
is NOT like most posters, though.

he master bedroom complete with Red's favorite poster and, for some reason, a hobby horse in the middle. I try not to judge.
I soooo love that poster!!!!!
I'd not judge either!
The lights with you initials were fantastic!!!! You're soo into the building mod already!!! I tried it yesterday for a bit, but I still haven't found a way to comfortably move around. It's just my being used to TS4, I guess. Will need more time in the Build studio and probably more tutorials to get the hang of it. I did not keep your thread open when I tried the foundations, and of course, I could not make them work.
Like @Sleepycat said, rubbish adulting!
I'll have to come back to watch the info about SmartZoi later.

devs need input, its a long way to go. but it is a stone in ea´s pool, and thats a good thing.
I absolutely agree.
And I also love the countdown!!!

It has been very helpful to see your pictures, so thank you very much, dear @Klinn

Obviously!!!

Love the hoodie!!!

Glad to hear you're back home and relaxing, Fire!
Tonight's TS4 for me, too!!!

Yes, I struggled with the Build Studio too. Part of it just adapting to a different way of doing things, part of it is the lack of any real info or tutorials explaining how things work.
Exactly. I kept looking for the "help" option, but there wasn't anything useful anywhere.
7 hours ago, Klinn said:the graphic at the top of each list, like the simple line drawing of a house, has pieces you can click on e.g. the window
I did notice that, thanks!
Your observations are very interesting!
I noticed that I could not overlap roof sections, only some eaves (I think).
I tried to set up a different fence, but could not work the feature for the life of me. As far as I could see, I was within the lot limit, but I kept getting a notification that the fence item could not be placed on top of other item, whatever that other item was. Will need to go back to try again another day.
I changed the color or the front door in the basic house preset, and I managed to save the whole door as a new or personalized item, since I did not see how to save the new color as a preset. This allowed me to copy the door with the customized colors to the other doors in the house.
I tried to move the house, but I did not see what that option actually did. When I tried moving the lot, the whole blueprint moved to a side in the void that is the Build Studio right now. That void makes it very difficult for me to work out how I want the house to look.
The controls themselves. I usually change the WASD controls to the arrows on the right of my keyboard, next to the numeric pad, because I am left handed and control my mouse with my left hand and the keyboard with the right, right?
I did not see options to change the controls.
Again, more exploration is needed, but I would love to have a more robust help option within the Studio.

Thank you for that article, @Klinn, like you said, it was worth the time.
I also share some thoughts with the author, like the use of AI for the creation aspect, the localization of the game (no offense, but it looks too K-popian), and the target main generation audience for which it is created. The look of the Zois is truly amazing, though, but I also like to play stories; I'm not much for the selfie moments, hehe, even if some of my sim families have tons of pictures of life events on their walls.
What worries me more is that I tried the building demo and struggled with it. Mind you, I used it only for a short while. I need to get back to try it again and actually learn the controls to have an opinion of how easy or difficult it is to use. I also did not see the curved walls among the options. I am a player who recreates stories in game and builds for those stories, so I want the game to be able to give me a comfortable way of doing that.
Like they say, more to come.

Why on earth couldn't the company have just simply made a demo freely available the way that most companies do? It's bizarre that they're doing it this way rather than letting potential players check it out, and allowing interest in the game build organically.
From the Twitch I watched to get the demo, I read that it will be free on Saturday.
I still did the watching and linking my account and all that SHIT, in order to learn this stuff
, but I could surely go without having to jump through so many hoops to get a game.

My graphics card is the minimum required, but the rest of my system fall in the recommended, so I think I'll get it and see how it looks on my graphics card. I'll see if / when I can upgrade that later on.

Ah! SO the price can go up by the official release date?
Hmm, had not thought of that.
