  1. Oh good. I figured this mod would be coming, and I'm quite relieved it only blocks humans from eating the plasma fruit salad, and not vampires from eating regular food. (Not like they'll usually push themselves to eat regular food anyways unless a club rule encourages them to eat food.) I need my collector sim to collect the prints from dine out, so such a mod would've led me to procrastinate even more on such a thing.

As for the Withered Stomach weakness, I was annoyed by it as well, but I suppose there is a kind of reasoning behind it. The salad is made from the entire fruit (as opposed to plasma janes which are made from just the juice. Or when you eat the fruit, the sim just sticks a straw in.) So when your sim with a withered stomach eats it, their poor stomachs can't digest the fruit itself. (Ultimately the distinction between eating oranges, and drinking orange juice.)

It's definitely an inconvenience for vegetarian vampires. Since then they're stuck on an all liquid diet, which wasn't very substantial as it was.

For some reason it seems like the game has too much of an emphasis on vegetarian vampires feeding off of their friends, with permission. I don't see why a true vegetarian vampire would do such a thing! But it's also typically the only feasible option since plasma janes and blood packs are quite awful in vanilla. And, given the limited selection of weaknesses, it's really hard to have a vampire that loves life, doesn't burn up like really annoying kindling, and doesn't constantly bathe in plasma.

As for Lilith Vatore. The vampire break-ins seem to have a nasty habit of not discriminating on who it'll pick. Should have had a test for the guilty drinker weakness and the vegetarian trait so that it wouldn't have just anyone break in and feed on ya. Granted, I don't know if Lilith actually has either, but I have had her break into my house and feed on my sims. I wasn't happy about that. (And don't get me started on her brother. He's a special snowflake that has less weaknesses than usual. Might have been more than usual, I can't recall perfectly.)

Also, since the topic was mentioned, GEEZ I hate the constant fine moodlet power that vampires can get! They should have made it a weakness instead. They'd never be happy, just "Fine". And "Fine" doesn't help you get promotions or build skills. Just to stop me from going insane, I had to make my own mod that made it a stronger moodlet, but on toggle.

Ah, look at me, rambling again. I just wanted to give my two cents and I wrote an essay! :giggle33: Helps that many of my sims are vampires, so I have a lot of opinions on them.

Back onto topic, thanks again for another mod that will have plenty of use in my game!

  2. Ooh, so by the sounds of it, my vamp sims will have a lot to look forward to! My vamp sims don't seem to have a problem with plasma fruit salad unless they have the withered stomach weakness. (Which is certainly an annoyance.)

Glad the autonomy got fixed. I remember at one point long ago I had a vampire sim that would have one plasma jane in each hand! That was golden. Especially since, back then, they were like three sips each, so she'd just keep shotgunning them.

Also, I need to say that I really appreciate you looking into all this stuff, even though you didn't have issue with the plasma janes, yourself.

  3. Yes! It works beautifully. My vampire sims can drink it without issue, and the human sims won't touch it. This will work out for a beautiful arrangement where I can have one drink tray for the vamps, and one for the non-vamps. (Which gives me an idea. I should do something similar with the buffet table! Surprisingly, I've been unable to find plasma fruit salad on there, so my sim's gonna have a lot of salad prep to do!)

  4. Now that you mention it, my vampire sims haven't slept in ages. I was thinking perhaps it was normal and that I merely misremembered. I have one sim that only sleeps in coffins, but I don't believe I've actually ever had him sleep. I always just rely on dark meditation to get their energy up. Only time I had him truly sleep was in a tent.

As for autonomously grabbing drinks, I have had sims doing that, but that's namely because I have it set as a club rule. I've noticed they seem to be doing it a lot less than everything else, though. For instance, I had the club rule set so they eat (I've been trying to grind out club points.) and that resulted in plates all over the floor. Every few minutes I'd have to clean them up! At one point it was 99 servings of curanto, and it seemed the sims' stomachs couldn't handle it, as they were leaving half-eaten plates of it everywhere. Let me tell you, that was a nightmare. All while my sim was suffering from a self-inflicted curse of mirage food.

Ah, right, I was getting to a point with that. The club members haven't been touching the plasma jane tray nearly as much as expected. Every once in awhile my sim will go to jedi restock it, but it's at a surprisingly slow frequency, and I think perhaps it's only a frequency at all because it's a club rule.

Obviously, that was without the True Excellent Vampire Drinks mod. And it was a version of the basic vampire drinks tray which I altered myself so that it would give only plasma janes. I figured I'd need those auto restocked more than I needed sunlight reversal cocktails. (Which I do believe is an option on the mega tray anyways. There are so many options on that, I can't always remember.)

As for the gym equipment. My sims haven't been messing with the gym equipment at all, but that didn't hit me as strange at all until you mentioned it, as I never use said equipment in other games anyways, so I don't know how autonomous it normally is. Granted, they're in a constant club gathering, so they're being pushed to do other stuff.

  5. My current vamp household that I've been playing is filled with vamps that have max vampire lore skill. But that is also with the mess of mods that may be mismatched, so I'll check with only this mod on that fresh save I mentioned earlier. I know that vamp has no vampire lore skill (Although, normally, I haven't had issue with them drinking the plasma janes regardless of vampire lore level so long as they get a bartender to make the drink for them, or a drink tray. But obviously without the vampire lore skill they can't make the drinks themselves. Kind of silly that a random bartender with no idea that vampires exist could make such a drink!)

Of course, I don't know if you set a restriction in place so that sims can't drink unless they have a high enough vampire lore skill.

And I just checked before even posting this. Unfortunately, regardless of vampire lore skill, on the fresh save, with only the VampiresDrinkOnlyVampireDrinks and TrueExcellentVampireDrinks mods, the sim still gets a route failure. (Which I can only assume isn't at the fault of VampiresDrinkOnlyVampireDrinks, as that would remove the option for him to drink it if it didn't feel like it made sense for him to drink it.)

  6. I might, but I also tried a fresh save without any mods except the True Excellent Vampire Drinks mod. (As a potential mod issue had crossed my mind as well.)

I can't recall whether I also had thrown the Vampires Drink Only Vampire Drinks mod in with that.

I'm unsurprised that you don't have the same issue. I figured you wouldn't let a bug that major get past the radar.

And I don't have the issue without this mod, either. (Your other True Excellent Drinks seem to work fine though, as they always have.)

  7. I have sorted out that, unfortunately, it seems whichever mod combo I have, the True Excellent Vampire Drinks mod results in my sims unable to drink Plasma Janes, resulting in a route failure every time. Even on a fresh save.

I'm unsure why this is an issue, but it happens whether the drink is on a tray, or in the sim's inventory.

For now, I guess this means I'll just have to not use the part of the mod that affects plasma janes. (Although I will dissect it in S4S so I can make use of the rest of the mod, since plasma packs are a pain, normally.)

I figured I should let you know of the issue anyways, @coolspear. It's entirely possible that it's just an issue I'm having, but I'm clueless as to why.

  8. Oh good. Before this version, the true excellent vampire drinks mod was making it so my sims couldn't drink plasma janes at all. (As in, on the previous version of the mod, on the game version it was meant for. I had assumed it might've been a mod conflict, but I haven't swapped in or out any mods I'd think would affect that.)

Now the vampires can drink them, as was originally intended. Which is quite the relief! (EDIT: I spoke too soon. Now they can't even route to the drinks, which are in their inventory! What a mess I have in my game here. Time to take out mods and see what's causing it.)

So now I can properly thank you. My vampire sims have been struggling for so long. It's a bit ridiculous that they make being a vegetarian vampire an option, but so impractical without mods.

Sure, I can grow plasma fruit, but then they need to eat them all as soon as I get them or else my poor vampires will starve. Sure, they can go fishing, but without your mod to make fishing less time-consuming, that's impractical. Sure, they can drink plasma janes, but unless they have a personal bartender with their infinite ingredients, that's insane.

Or, of course, your drink tray mod.

Then there's plasma packs. Don't even get me started on those. In order to get filled up on those normally, the vampire would have to practically drink several sims' worth of plasma packs. (And that's if those sims got drained completely dry! Even draining life spirit doesn't drain them dry like that!)

And considering how often I play vampires, mods like these are a necessity. Anyways, enough of my rambling and ranting, and, once again, thank you! :yourockthumbsup:

  9. No problem, @coolspear! Happy I could help. Especially since, otherwise, you might've been wondering why, despite the No More Fears mod, your cats and dogs were still getting afraid, and get frustrated wondering what the problem was. And, while I'm at it, I should probably say thanks for all of these fantastic mods you make. My game would not be the same without them.

And thank you for letting me know, @Kimi! Means I didn't break a rule by putting a link there. Was a bit worried about that.

  10. My first time posting on this site, I noticed you mentioned the dog Paddy being upset for several days straight. Apparently there's some kind of messed up logic with the wellness treat (I'm unsure if you were using that or not, but I figure I might mention it anyways), that made the pets constantly "Afraid of something and should calm down soon".

I experienced this myself when my sim's cat M.E.K.A. (Which has a robotic design and was made "neutered". I like to think my scientist sim created the little guy!) was given a wellness treat and was constantly upset, and when my sim asked what was wrong, it turned out he was "afraid of something and should calm down soon". That poor cat was afraid for several days straight. At the time, I thought it was just because the poor little guy had gone through surgery multiple times due to experiments (It is a robot meant to SIMULATE cat-like behaviors, after all!) and then receiving the cone of shame. Especially since a lampshade icon was showing in the cat's thought bubbles every time he was asked what was wrong.

A few days later, though, I was looking at mods on another site and noticed someone had made a mod to fix issues related to wellness treats causing fear in pets. (Which was a really silly choice to begin with on Maxis' part!)
