I tried doing a full out blood donation once. Not only did they have to stop it early because of me almost passing out, but I also ended up vomitting too.

I'm not allowed to give blood. :(

Aw boo Sleepy. I donate whole blood (just the standard donation) all the time, but they recently pinged me for apheresis platelet donation because I'm AB+, which is apparently very rare. It's actually pretty nice, you get to sit in a comfy recliner type chair, with a pillow under your arm and head, on a heating pad, under blankets, with the movie of your choice (donation takes about 2.5 hours) and headphones.
