I've been lucky. SecurROM hasn't done anything to the 3 computers I installed Sims 2 on.

So, got a call from my sons school this morning- he fell in gym and hurt himself. One trip to the emergency room later- he broke his wrist. And I can only give him ibuprofen or tylenol for pain. :(

So I have to go visit my state's dept of licensing again because the vehicle title never arrived. I have to get the current one cancelled and request a new one to be mailed. And then wait & hope the 10 week duration that it will actually show up in my mailbox this time. Supremely annoyed.

I'm annoyed because the person on the phone said that it was sent a month ago, that I should have called right away. Yet I was told at the start that I needed to wait 10 weeks before I called, which is what I did.

I agree, Rose. I repainted multiple rooms 7 all the doors & trim in the old house before we sold it. Not fun at all.

Hugs! I hope you're able to get it to work. Do you have a backup computer with and OS prior to Win 8? Following the video link I posted in the thread was the working solution for me.
