My sims now disappear when they go down the stairs in the house I just built. WTF?

So, most of the time being a home owner is GREAT- right now, when we're looking at having to pay a plumber 300.00 to replace our shower, is NOT one of those times. GAH!

Is exhausted after spending the day at the hospital with my sister who is in labor. She was induced Monday and still working on it.
