Workload playing havoc with my Sims and Asylum time. Sorry I’ve been depriving everyone of my boundless reservoir of wit and wisdom. WHAT! No one’s noticed! It’s OK. I lied about the wit and wisdom anyway. I miss y’all, though. : (

Deleted some things from my iPhone between games at a weekend soccer tournament. Forgot when I deleted all those bookmarks that it would delete it on all my electronics. Now I have no bookmarks for Sims 3 sites. :(

It's National Trails Day. About to take the kids out for a day of hiking. They'll forgive me one day for getting them up so early on a Saturday. Maybe. .

Set a new personal best this morning on a 4 3/8 mile mileage-marked trail: 62:15. Not bad for a short-legged old lady who hasn't been able to jog since tearing a knee up backpacking.

Last time I went backpacking with the guys was too soon after surgery and I only lasted half of an 8-day trip. Working hard this time and gonna kick some male butt! Probably not all of them; definitely some of them!!

Tending my flowers yesterday when I heard a car stop behind me. It didn't move so I turned around and there was a young guy hanging out the window taking pictures of me. I knew I was "hot" but thought it was because of the 100-degree temperature! Kind of creepy.

Even though my job is mostly part time, mostly can be done at home, and my boss lets me sleep with him, I’d still rather not work. And I’m sure my boss would still let me sleep with him! : )

Back from a long weekend in my beloved Austin. Everything didn't go exactly as I'd planned but it was still a fun time for the whole family.

Decided to surprise hubby and mow the yard before he got home. It was 106. For an hour or so at least this girl was "one hot chick!"

Having trouble distinguishing fall from summer. 90 degrees (32.2 C) yesterday. A new record.

I'm so excited about the Super Bowl I can hardy be still. Oh wait! That's my husband. I can't even keep up with who's playing. :)

When my mom was alive (she died in August)she was a rabid football fanatic and watched all of the football games and especially the Superbowl. I listened to it from the other room, but I never understood it. Since she died, I never bothered with it, so I don't even know who's playing today.

I can't watch it until Shake gets back from military training. last 13 years we have watched it together so I wait :(

Typically I work part time (and sporadically) from home but had to work in an out-of-town office the past week (pantyhose, heels, the whole ball of wax). Great to be back home!

Did an all-day hike yesterday. It was a little hot, but got to get ready for a week-long backpacking trip this fall.

In-laws coming. Wish I'd dispelled the myth years ago that I have a spotless house filled with home-baked goodies. To paraphrase the immortal words of Richard Nixon: "Jennifer is NOT a Cook!" Guess I will be temporarily, though. :(

I must agree. This morning it was rather warm I walked out the house with short sleeves, this evening when I left work I had to run to my car and find my coat 'cause I had on short sleeves. It dang cold in San Antonio.

I'm jennifer. Loves cold much more the hot and sun. Right now, my room has wide open windows and the room temperature is 0 C. But I'm normally dressed. My fingers are only slightly cold. but I love it. my wife don't. :)

Had a great weekend in Dallas/Fort Worth, topped off by an intimate evening with George Strait and 106.000 of his other close friends : )

A good thing about living in a warm part of the country is that you can shop the summer clearance racks and don't have to wait until next year to wear all those bargains!

A typical (spelled atypical) morning. Parents show up to keep the kids. Husband says we’ll be back Sunday; proclaims it a “no-bra trip;†and promises to buy me an appropriate dress when we get there (wherever “there†is). So am I stunned? Clueless? Intrigued? Excited? How ‘bout all of the above.

We spent the day in Fort Worth yesterday and I got to to the driving. That almost never happens! But, for the record, women get a bad rap as back seat drivers. My husband has no peers when it comes to that.

I never say anything to Wolfie when she drives. She is as a good driver. She tells me to slow down but otherwise she says nothing either.

Finally caught up enough at work to take the summer off (though may take all summer to get caught up at The Asylum). So now that I'm back, make sure to be on your best behavior. Knowing how pure, sweet, and innocent I am you surely don't want to offend my maidenly sensitivity and make me blush! : )

Neither of my boys will ever offend their future wives by bragging about mama's cooking. They'd always rather eat junk than the meals I prepare.
